PolicyMaker™ Standard Edition (formerly Policy Maker™ Professional) was the first product to extend Group Policy and is a mature suite including 21 true Group Policy extensions for desktop standardization, security and compliance.
Group Policy has long been referred to as the best feature of Active Directory. It’s in use on all Active Directory networks, however native Group Policy extensions do not provide a complete solution. Windows ships with just 11 extensions, providing policies limited almost entirely to security settings and software installation. Therefore, prior to PolicyMaker, organizations found it necessary to augment Group Policy with point solutions, manual processes and costly logon scripting. Now, using PolicyMaker Standard Edition, administrators can centrally manage all aspects of their desktop environments without writing a single line of script.
